The year 2017 is truly spectacular now for Miles Teller.
The actor recently proposed to Keleigh Sperry, his longtime girlfriend, while on an African safari, according to an Instagram post by Sperry's sister, as discovered by People.
Like any good big sis, Christie Sperry York posted a series of glamour shots of the newly engaged duo, writing, "These two got engaged while on an African safari over the weekend!! Can't believe the last Sperry girl is engaged! Love both of you guys to pieces and so incredibly happy for this new chapter in your love story! Now come home so we can celebrate 😘 ." Several of the photos show Teller carrying, dipping, and kissing Sperry in front of elephants in the African savannah. There's also a sweet selfie of the pair in which Sperry leans on her husband-to-be and flashes her engagement ring, another shot of the model holding out her impressive new bling in front of a lion, and a close-up pic of her wearing the ring and holding a rose with a tag reading, "KS & MT 5/11/13-8/20/2017."
According to Sperry's own Instagram account, the pair vacationed in the Seychelles before heading to the African mainland. On Saturday, the day before Teller popped the question, Sperry posted a series of photos at the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa. Although the low-key pair appear to vacation together frequently, they have also attended several red-carpet events throughout their four-year relationship, including the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars party and the 2016 Met Gala.
The usually tight-lipped Whiplash star, 30, spoke about his relationship with Sperry, 24, in 2015, telling E! that she is "lovely." "It's been pretty easy because right now, her full-time gig is kind of being with me," he said. "And before her, I would never invite a girl into that world because I didn't think I could have both. She's allowed me to be able to really focus on acting and do what I want to do. She can come and visit me and hang out and doesn't really distract me from it."
