For eight long months, we've been speculating on when Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin might walk down the aisle for the second time after marrying in a secret courthouse wedding in September.
As it turns out, we might have had a big clue about when their more traditional ceremony would take place all along, as the couple is reportedly considering tying the knot-again!-for their one-year anniversary.
“They have talked about possibly having their wedding closer to their one-year marriage anniversary date in September,” a source tells Us Weekly.
The twosome gave fans an indicator that they were ready for their follow-up nuptials when they were spotted wearing their wedding bands for the first time ever, earlier this week. Baldwin, 22, was reportedly seen rocking a Cartier band alongside her engagement ring on June 3, while the “Sorry” singer, 25, prominently featured his bling on his Instagram page that same day.
Bieber and Baldwin originally said their “I dos” in a New York City courthouse-a move that was reportedly instigated by Baldwin. “The city hall marriage was her idea. It was 'you and me against the world,'” an insider told People at the time. “Let's show everyone we're serious and it's not just some crazy fling.”
Though they planned for a conventional wedding, the duo pushed their plans back several times in order to focus on Bieber's mental health.
Cementing their relationship with a formal ceremony has remained a priority to the duo, however. In fact, according to People, the supermodel feels it will legitimize their union. “Hailey feels a civil ceremony and their 'real' wedding are two separate things,” a source told the publication in September. “What happened at the courthouse is a courthouse thing-a legal thing. But marriage is two people making a vow before God and the people they love.”
It would also give the model a chance to see the dream wedding she gushed about to The Cut come to life.
"I just picture lights strung everywhere,” she told the outlet in a piece that was incidentally published the same day she became Mrs. Bieber. “I think having it in the woods would be so beautiful.”
Baldiwn also revealed a few of her bridal party members, saying, “My sister Alaia Baldwin will be my bridesmaid-I was her's last year. And maybe Justin's little sister as a flower girl. Is 10 too old?”
Never, Hailey. Never!
